Pat Harden, 62, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, after a sudden illness. She was born May 24, 1948, at Syracuse, the daughter of James L. and Wilma Jean Mishler Armer. She was a 1966 graduate of Windom High School, had attended Adela Hale Business College, was with the Reno County Farm Bureau Insurance industry for 25 years as a secretary, adjuster and agent, and most recently she had been with Hospice of Reno County. Her hobbies included quilting, crafts, scrapbooking and cooking.


On Aug. 5, 1985, she married Wallace A. "Wally" Harden at Windom. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Ron Anderson, Hutchinson; a daughter, Dana Brooks and husband Kevin, Springfield, Mo.; her mother, Wilma Armer, Inman; step children, Clint Harden and Julie Tomac, both of Hutchinson, Craig Harden, Inman; eight brothers and sisters, Jack Armer, Florence, Ore., Dick Armer, Preston, Jean Dannebohm, Ellinwood, Jodi Hime, McPherson, Karen Wojtak, Denver, Colo., Sharon Franz, White Lake, Mich., Jim Armer, Hutchinson, Bill Armer, Arkansas City; two half sisters, Vermalea Smith, Fayetteville, Ark., Ruby Mae Popp, Hoisington; a half brother, Bobby Armer, Rogers, Ark.; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Kenneth Dean Armer and stepson, Kurt Harden.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 2010, at Emanuel Lutheran Church with Pastors Tim Carey and Henry Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson. Friends may call 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
