Aaron M. Decker, 19, of Hutchinson, died June 25, 2011, in Hutchinson.

He was born Sept. 19, 1991, in Wichita, Kan., to Mitch and Brenda Gingerich Decker.

He was an employee at the East 30th Spangles Restaurant.

Survivors include: companion, Sadie Ward of Hutchinson; son, Malachi Ward of Hutchinson; parents, Mitch and Nikki Decker of Wichita and step father, John Barker of Michigan; brothers, Ryan Decker of Hutchinson and Justin Decker of Wichita; half-brothers, Seth Decker of Wichita and Brendan Lajza of Derby; step-brother, Joshua Wyatt of Wichita; grandparents, Tony and Jan Decker of Wichita, Mike and Sonja Gingerich of Hutchinson; great-grandparents, Waunita Decker and Woodrow and Maxine Cannon, all of Newton; aunts and uncles, Kelly Decker and Lester Steventon of Wichita, Robin and Derek Conrad of Chicago, Jeff and Amy Gingerich of Louisville, Ky.; and many great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Barker.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Westside Baptist Church, Hutchinson, with Reverend Craig Dilbeck officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Aaron Decker Family Memorial Fund, in care of the mortuary.
