PRETTY PRAIRIE - Agnes Marie Ruebke, 97, died Sept. 13, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Castleton, the daughter of John D. and Carrie M. Krehbiel Krehbiel. A lifetime Reno County resident, she was a farmwife and helped operate Ruebke Orchard, Pretty Prairie.

She belonged to First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. She enjoyed playing games, especially Bingo and card games of any nature.

On Aug. 5, 1934, she married Henry H. Ruebke, in Pretty Prairie. He died July 14, 1977.

Survivors include: their children, grandchildren and spouses, John and Bea, Hesston, Herbert and Bonnie, Hutchinson, Ruth and Bob Stucky, Hutchinson, and Judy and Corey Lowdon, Independence; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ruebke, Wittlohe, Germany; 11 grandchildren, David and Gwen Janzen, Don and Michelle Ruebke, Tim and Amy Ruebke, Rita and David Wainwright, Bruce and Rachel Stucky, Troy and Micaela Ruebke, Brent and Karri Ruebke, Victoria and Gary Crownover, Christopher and Joan Lowdon, Tyler Lowdon and Vanessa Lowdon; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild, Jim and Becky Tyliki; five step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by six brothers, two infant sisters and a grandson, Doug Stucky.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, with Pastor Lester Zook presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in First Mennonite Church Cemetery, Pretty Prairie.
