Obituary

Albert Lee Chronister, 72, died Tuesday, July 7, 2015. He was born July 7, 1943, at Wardell, Mo., the son of Arthur and Elsie (Johns) Chronister.

He was a 1960 graduate of Haven High School, a member of Maranatha Mennonite Church and was a machinist for Cessna, General Dynamics and Eaton for 43 years, retiring in 2007. On May 5, 1962, he married Lael L. Cordingley. She died Jan. 5, 2014. He is survived by: his sons, Don and Daryl (Amy) of Hutchinson, David of Wichita; a brother, James of Hutchinson; three grandchildren, Cody, Sarah and Sherry Chronister; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Chronister and Harlee Pisano. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, William; and a sister Sarah Ewing.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015, at Maranatha Mennonite Church, 3115 Blanchard SW, Hutchinson, with Pastor Paul Nisly presiding. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial gifts may be made to the church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
