Albert Dean Krehbiel, 75, died June 21, 2007 at his home in Fredericksburg, VA.
He was born July 18, 1931 in Lakin, the son of Albert C. and Mary K. Flickinger Krehbiel. He was a former resident of Pretty Prairie. He graduated from Pretty Prairie High School, attended Bethel College and graduated from Mexico City (Mexico) College. He worked in Foreign Service for the Department of State from 1959 to 1995 serving in several embassies, including Japan and Egypt. He served in the U.S. Army.
He belonged to First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie.
He married his wife, Mioko in 1965 while serving at the American Consulate in Egypt. She survives.
Other survivors include: one son, Christian, Williamsburg, VA; one brother, Kenneth, Pretty Prairie; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie, with Pastor Lester Zook presiding. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in the First Mennonite Church Cemetery, Pretty Prairie.
