Alberta E. "Bert" Alstatt, 74, died Aug. 11, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Albert and Blanche Wilhite Hammond. She was a lifelong Reno County resident. She attended Langdon High School. She worked at Fraese Drug and later at the Medical Center pharmacy as an assistant and bookkeeper.
She belonged to the South Hutchinson United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Society.
In 1957, she married William Kepka in South Hutchinson. He died Oct. 19, 1965. On Feb. 1, 1969, she married Norman Alstatt in South Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Gary Lee and wife, Stephanie Kepka, Independence, Mo., Steven Curtis Kepka, Independence, Mo.; two stepsons, Michael and wife, Janis Alstatt, Hutchinson, Christopher and wife, Lori Alstatt, Marquette; a stepdaughter, Kathleen Alstatt, Seattle; a brother, James Tollar, London; a sister, Wilma Shakelford, Hutchinson; nine grandchildren, Tiffany and Matt Kepka and Tim, Cody, Chendra, Caitlin, Noell, Breanna and Dakota Alstatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, with Pastors Tim Ault-Duell and Bob Clemence presiding. Friends of the family may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, with family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell-Gable Cemetery and Mausoleum.
