Obituary

Alden J. "Jim" Lang, 74, died Oct. 21, 2012, at Hospice House. He was born April 13, 1938, in Ness City to Adam and Catherine (Mies) Lang. Alden graduated from Buhler High School in 1957.

On Aug. 29, 1959, he married Carolyn Snyder in Hutchinson. He was a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Knights of Columbus Council #612, Pork Producers Association and 4-H. A Teamster at Dillons Warehouse, he retired in 1996 after 35 years of service. Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn Lang of the home; daughter, Beth Tilton and husband Mark; two sons, Dennis Lang and wife Stacy, and Jeff Lang and wife Jana, all of Hutchinson; sisters, Virginia Lindsay of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Mildred Ensz of Hutchinson; brother, Ernie of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren, Kara Warren, Brent and Halee Tilton, Zach and Zeke Kunze, Dustin, Drew, Brandon and Garrison Lang; six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by nine siblings.

Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Elliott Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at Church of the Holy Cross with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
