Alexander Joseph "Xander" Dennis, 35, of South Hutchinson, died February 5, 2022, at St Francis Hospital, Wichita. He was born January 18, 1987, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Thomas and Tina (Ochko) Dennis.
Xander graduated from Cadillac High School in 2003 and had a career as a welder. He loved going to work, he very much loved his job and was very proud of his accomplishments. Growing up in Michigan, he loved camping and fishing and spending time outside. Xander was part of the Kansas Recovery Network. He loved to help people in recovery or find recovery. Xander would do anything for his friends and family. He found a new love for laser tag with Teagan and enjoyed taking the kids to play. Xander loved garage sales and anyone that knew him knew they could find him at any garage sale on the weekends.
He was engaged to the love of his life, Lacy (Thiel) Lomax.
Xander is survived by: finacee, Lacy Lomax, South Hutchinson; mother, Tina Holley, Oscoda, Michigan; grandmother, Kay Pedrin; sister, Brittany Ochko; aunt, Krystal Roper (Shane); grandmother, Linda Dennis; aunt, Susan Dennis; uncle, Tony Dennis; nieces, Brooklynn and Olivia Kelly; nephew, Isaiah Scott; cousins, Tiffany Roper, KimberLee Roper, and Aaron Roper, all of Cadillac, Michigan; and best friends, Thomas Simmons and Jacob Vargas.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Thomas Dennis; grandfather, David Pedrin; uncle, Robert Ochko; cousin, Stephanie Roper; and stepson, Teagan Lomax.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Soul Winners Missionary Church, 334 E 6th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
