Alfred Schweizer's Obituary
Alfred Schweizer, 84, died Thursday, July 12, 2012. He was born at Sterling, KS, February 2, 1928, the son of William A. and Lillian M. Roth Schweizer.
He was a 1946, graduate of Nickerson High School and a farmer stockman, moving from the Sterling community in 2004.
On April 13, 1963, he married Dorothy M. Zimmerman in Salem, Oregon. She survives.
Their children and spouses include: Colleen and David Cox, Wichita, and Wayne and Cheryl, Olathe; two granddaughters, Alaina and Rachel Cox. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at the First Evangelical Free Church, 1825 N. Woodlawn, Wichita. Private family burial will be in Penwell Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, in care of the mortuary.
