Alice W. Duft, 93, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village. She was born July 8, 1923, in Arlington, to Laben Moody and Jessie Frances (Bowen) Elliott.
Alice was a baker for Hub Cafeteria and retired from Jackson Frozen Food Center as a meat processor after nineteen years of service. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family.
On Sept. 28, 1946, she married Jimmie Duft in Gothenburg, Neb. He died Dec. 28, 2005. Survivors include: children, Steven Duft (Babette Beach), Curtis Duft, Kay Babcock (Gary), all of Hutchinson, and Paula Jo Knott (Rico) of Spring, Texas; four grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; ten brothers; and six sisters.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Randy Duft officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Kansas Talking Book Service, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
