Alice Ilene Ebel, 89, of Hutchinson, died September 2, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.  She was born November 30, 1930, in Hutchinson, to Joseph Franklin and Hazel Grace (Stoughton) Powell.

Alice was a 1948 graduate of Hutchinson High School.  She was the owner of a cake decorating business.  Alice was a member of the Red Hat Society and New Covenant Presbyterian Church, Hutchinson.  She enjoyed bowling and was an accomplished and recognized member of a bowling league.

On April 4, 1948, Alice married Maurice Jerald Ebel, in Hutchinson.  They shared over 47 years of marriage, prior to his death on April 19, 1995.

She is survived by:  her sister, Dodie Cawelti of Lee's Summit, MO; daughter-in-law, Renee Ebel of Colorado; grandchildren, Cacy Ebel, Janel Ebel, Ryan Ebel, and Misha Ebel; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband, Maurice Ebel; sons, Lance Ebel and Mark Ebel; and sister, Ruth Mark.

Cremation has taken place.  Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020, at New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 700 E. 25 ^th , Hutchinson, with Rev. Craig Waetke officiating.  A reception will follow the memorial service in the church's Recreation Hall.
