Alice Carole Henderson, 79, died August 9, 2025, at Bethesda Home, Goessel. She was born March 21, 1946, in Dallas, TX, to Jack and Myrtis Evangeline (Mason) VanZandt, Sr.

Alice worked as an executive assistant for Southland Life Insurance and was a homemaker.  She volunteered for the Reno County Food Bank, assisted teenagers needing help, and was always trying new and unique recipes.  Alice was a devoted caregiver to her son, Tim.  She was a member of Park Place Christian Church, where she took part in the Women's Bible Study.

On December 28, 1979, she married John Mark Henderson, in Dallas, TX.  He died September 21, 1997.

Alice is survived by:  sons, Scott Henderson (Natasha) of Amarillo, TX and Tim Henderson of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brooke Henderson and Bryant Henderson; and sister, Mary Sutton (Ance) of Dallas, TX.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents and brothers, Thomas VanZandt, Jack VanZandt, Jr., and Gerald VanZandt.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Park Place Christian Church, 2600 N. Adams, Hutchinson. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at Highland Cemetery, 803 N. Iliff, Medicine Lodge. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Park Place Christian Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS  67501.
