Obituary

STERLING - Alice Mitzner, 66, died Sept. 19, 2008, at her home, Sterling.

She was born May 11, 1942, in Christian County, Ky., the daughter of Charlie and Hazel Morgan Davis. A resident of Sterling, she was a homemaker and a truck driver for Branson Truck Line.

She belonged to Church of God International.

On March 10, 1962, she married Jacob Lee Mitzner in Hopkinsville, Ky. He survives.

Other survivors include: sons, Charlie, Buhler, and Timothy and wife Deborah, Wichita; brother, Carlos "Bo" Davis, Kentucky; sisters, Ada Anderson, Evelyn Francis, Wanda Draper, Rachel Rawlins and Linda Monahan, all of Kentucky; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Lee; a daughter, Kimberly Mitzner; her parents; four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastors Max Davis and Nancy Proffitt presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the mortuary. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairview Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to Church of God International or Hospice Care of Kansas, both in care of the mortuary.
