Aline May Witter, 96, died July 6, 2013. She was born May 2, 1917, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Alfred and Florence Delano Ravenscroft.
She was a member of First Christian Church, Hutchinson, a 1935 graduate of Hutchinson High School and a member of Rebekah Lodges' of Sterling and Lyons. She had lived in Arizona for 33 years, moving from Abbyville.
She is survived by: three sons, Dick (Jean Osenbaugh), Max (Bonnie Reynolds), both of Phoenix, Rusty (Roxanne), of Kanopolis; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; a son, Roy Lynn; and two grandchildren. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Rebekah rites and Keith Dellenbach officiating.
Burial will be in Abbyville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Kansas Crippled Children Foundation, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501. Aline left a final message for all in a poem called, "I Believe: "My journey on this road of life is slowly coming to an end. I do not know exactly when or where, But there is one thing I am sure of, when that time comes, The Lord will take me by my hand and lead me through those Footprints in the sand." Goodbye Mom, Grandma, Friend and Confidant. You are Truly one of God's children!
