Obituary

Aline L. Yoder, 90, died Sept. 17, 2011, at her home in South Hutchinson.

She was born Aug. 28, 1921, in Leroy, Kansas, to Charles and Hazel (Chitwood) Rampenthal.

She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1940. Aline was retired from the bookkeeping department at Montgomery Ward and was a past member of the American Business Women. She was a member of South Hutchinson United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Twilight Circle. She had recently been volunteering at the Delos V. Smith Senior Center. Aline loved quilting.

On Dec. 5, 1947, she married Calvin Yoder. He died in November 1981.

Survivors include: a son, Gary Yoder and wife Liz, South Hutchinson; two grandchildren, Andrew Yoder and wife Jenny, St. Charles, Mo., and Christina Huntsinger and husband Danny, Olathe; two great-grandchildren, Alexandria Yoder and Lela Huntsinger; and two sisters, Melva Bornholdt, Hutchinson, and Joan Bontrager, South Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, Howard Rampenthal; and a sister, Charlotte Rucker.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Ault-Duell officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to South Hutchinson United Methodist Church or Delos V. Smith Senior Center in care of the mortuary.
