Allan H. Ferguson, 61, died Feb. 8, 2009, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born March 23, 1947, in Holdenville, Okla., the son of Hoyt and Minella Leewright Ferguson.
He graduated in 1965 from Garden City High School and attended Garden City Community College. A resident of Hutchinson since 1972, he was employed by Dillon Stores before taking medical retirement in 1992.
He was a member of the Eastwood Church of Christ and served in the U.S. Air Force.
On April 13, 1969, he married Patsy "Patti" Hinkle in Garden City. She survives.
Other survivors include: sister, Earlene Ploger, Pratt; brother, Russell Ferguson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; mother-in-law, Hazel Hinkle, Hutchinson; sisters-in-law, Verna Neel, Hutchinson, Sharon Hinkle, Sublette; six nephews; and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lowell "Hoppy" Ferguson.
Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service is planned. The register book will be available 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will take place at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the "Know Your Bible" Television Program, both in care of the mortuary.
