Allen Dale Albright, 67, died July 12, 2015, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 24, 1947, in Hutchinson, to Raymond and Eva (Unruh) Albright.
Allen graduated from Pretty Prairie High School in 1965. He served in the United States Navy from 1965 to 2001. Allen worked for Collins Bus Corporation as a welder and retired in 2010. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and past member of Midstates Street Rods.
On April 14, 1972, he married Linda Pruitt in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: son, Rex Albright and wife Jeni of Hutchinson; daughter, Cherry Trotter and husband Vorel of Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Kaleb, Kennedi, Kade Albright, all of Hutchinson; mother, Eva Irvin of Hutchinson; stepbrothers, Carey and Elliott Irvin of Harper; daughters, Sherry and Khristine; and grandson, Shannon from a previous marriage; and last but not least, his favorite child, the 1968 Dodge Charger.
Allen was preceded in death by his father; and stepfather, Carl Irvin.
The family requests casual attire. Raiders-themed attire is welcome.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Willard D. Stafford officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery, with military honors being conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
