Allen Martin Dick, 83, died December 13, 2023, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. He was born November 8, 1940, in Hutchinson, to John Martin and Helena 'Lena' Goldie (Franz) Dick.

Allen graduated from Buhler High School in 1958, he also graduated from Chicago Technical College in 1966. Allen worked as a mechanical designer for several industrial engineering companies, prior to his retirement in 2014.

Allen was a member of Westside Baptist Church. His true interest was serving his Lord and his family. He served as deacon at his church along with several other roles. Allen also enjoyed taking many great family trips and vacations.

On May 19, 1968, he married Sharon Kay Winingham, in Hutchinson. They shared over 55 years of marriage.

Allen is survived by: his wife, Sharon Dick of Hutchinson, KS; brother, Clifford Dick of Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Julie (Ron) Blanton of Hutchinson; son, Darren (Denise) Dick of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Jonathan (Sarah) Blanton of Hutchinson, KS, Bethany (Zach) Smith of Hutchinson, Josiah (Riley) Blanton of Wichita, KS, Sarah E. Blanton of Hutchinson, KS, Caroline Dick and Andrew Dick of Alexandria, VA; 2 nephews; and 7 great- grandchildren and 1 great-grandson whose arrival is expected in February 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Joan Dick.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Westside Baptist Church, 400 W. 12th Ave, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2023, with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
