Obituary

Alvin Hartman, 95, died Oct. 4, 2009, at Elm Grove Estates, Hutchinson.

He was born June 2, 1914, in Alfred, N.D., to Ludwig and Pauline Klein Hartman. A resident of Hutchinson since 1968, he was a retired maintenance employee for U.S.D. No. 308 Hutchinson Public Schools.

On May 18, 1941, he married Adeline Doris Sedler in Rothsay, Minn. She died June 11, 2004.

Survivors include: daughters, Sharilyn Jordan and husband Stanley, Derby, Jackie Teichert and husband Ray, Breckenridge, Minn., and Peggy Jo Clark and husband Tom, Wichita; a sister, Freida Greville, Pleasanton, Calif.; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Hartman, and a sister, Martha Paupera.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday Oct. 8, 2009, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Harry Blickhahn presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
