Alvin L. Hrabe's Obituary
Alvin Lee Hrabe, 79, died Jan. 17, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Plainville, the son of Leo William and Sophie Mazanek Hrabe. A resident of Hutchinson since 1991, moving from Hickory, N.C., he was a retired craftsman for Williams Woodcarving, Hickory, N.C., retiring in 1989.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
On July 15, 1971, he married Hazel Marie Hopkins in Hickory, N.C. She died Aug. 23, 2003.
Survivors include: a son, Kirk, Brownell; a daughter, Camilla Fowler, Kansas City; a brother, Leroy, Burrton; and four sisters, Darlene Eichman and Lucille Werner, both of Plainville, Elaine Amann, Long Beach, Calif., and Neva Meester, Grand Island, Neb.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Pat Ault-Duell presiding. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Area Cancer Support Services, in care of the mortuary.
