Alva 'Al' Miller, 75, died Friday, July 27, 2018, at his home. He was born May 5, 1943, in Hutchinson, the son of Enos and Mary (Bontrager) Miller .

He was a farmer and pastor of Prairie Chapel Mennonite, Hutchinson.

On October 17, 1965, he married Dorothy Jane Nisly in Hutchinson. She survives. Al is survived by:  children, Verlin and wife Violet of Red Bluff, CA, Gina Schrock and husband Ken, Lynn and wife Sandra, all of Partridge; siblings, Vernon of Hutchinson, Daniel and wife Mary Etta of Canon City, Colorado,  Dave and wife Miriam of Plain City, Ohio, and Ruby Miller of Hutchinson; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; infant daughter, Vicki Jane; brother, Floyd; and sister-in-law, Lena Miller.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Pleasantview Activity Center, 5015 S. Dean Rd., with Delmar Troyer and Ray Shaum presiding. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Mennonite Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pleasantview Activity Center.
