Alvin "Al" Morris Warner, 88, died Sept. 29, 2016, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Oct. 26, 1927, in Gardner, to the Reverend Willis Anderson and Hazel Annette (Zerkiel) Warner.

He was a 1945 graduate of Baldwin City High School. Alvin enlisted in the United States Navy in January of 1946. Al later returned home and graduated from Baker University in 1951, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Al also held a degree from the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin. Alvin retired in 1994 from Data Center Inc. where he served as vice president.

On June 17, 1956, Alvin married Sandra Lee Biles in El Dorado. She survives. Other survivors include: sons, Rod Warner and Craig Warner, both of Wichita, Gary Warner and wife Susie of Topeka, Todd Warner and wife Kimberley of Hutchinson; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Atherton of Ozawkie, Altha "Rusty" Tilghman, and Lois Icenogle, both of Topeka. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Evelyn Ridgeway.

Alvin was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Hutchinson, and the Shriners, JayCee's and American Legion of Salina.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Amy Claassen presiding. Friends may sign the memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday through Thursday with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
