Obituary

BUHLER – Alvina Siebert, 86, died April 6, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1927, in Lehigh, to Cornelius and Elisabeth (Fast) Plett.

Alvina graduated from Tabor Academy High School and attended Salt City Business College and Tabor College. She was a member of Countryside Baptist Church. Alvina enjoyed cross stitching towels and showing her husband support by going to wood carving shows with him. She married Pete Siebert on June 2, 1950, in Lehigh in the Springfield Church. Pete survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Carol Schroeder and husband John D. of Clearwater, Fla., Larena King and husband David of Lee's Summit, Mo.; brother, Andrew Plett of Goessel; grandchildren, Jeffrey Bartel and wife Erin, John E. Schroeder, Jesse Schroeder, Jason Schroeder and wife Becky, Nolan King, Alex King, Addie King, Kendall King; and three great-grandchildren. Alvina was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathleen "Kathy" Bartel; and nine brothers and sisters.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Countryside Baptist Church, with Pastor Ron Kyker officiating. Burial will be in Buhler Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with family to receive friends from 6 to 7:30, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
