Amanda Boese, 92, died Jan. 29, 2009, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.

She was born July 7, 1916, in Montezuma, the daughter of Henry and Eva Schmidt.

In August 1940, she married Walter Boese. He died Jan. 13, 1976.

Survivors include: a son, Steve and wife, Beth, Hutchinson; a daughter, Norma Roper and husband, Marion, Gardner; and grandchildren, Josh Boese, Vicki Huck and husband, Jeff.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Terry A. Boese.

Memorial service 4 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God. Visitation 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial in Lone Tree Cemetery, Moundridge.
