Amanda Dale Brown, 21, died Sept. 21, 2011, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born Dec. 12, 1989, in Quincy, Ill., to Dale Alan and Elizabeth Gaus Brown.
A resident of Hutchinson for two and a half years, coming from Canton, Mo., she was a nursing student at Hutchinson Community College.
Survivors include: her mother, Beth Thomas and husband Lee of Knob Noster, Mo.; her father, Dale Brown and wife Lini of Monticello, Mo.; companion, Anthony Almanza and his children, Marianna, AJ and Ava Almanza, all of Hutchinson; two brothers, Cody Thomas of Knob Noster, Mo., and Zach Cottrel of Monticello, Mo.; four sisters, Makaylee Stice, Ashlynn and Madalyn Thomas, all of Knob Noster, Mo., and Kayla Cottrell of Monticello, Mo.; grandparents, Clarence and Kay Gaus of Canton, Mo., Don and Dean Brown of Williamstown, Mo., and Sue Thomas of Knob Noster, Mo.; and great-grandmother, Virginia Brown of Canton, Mo. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, McKenzie Arbila Rae Almanza; great-grandparents, George Otis Brown and Byron and Muriel Dugger.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Tim Adrian officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Monticello, Mo. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
