Amanda M. Yoder, 92, died Oct. 17, 2009 at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson. She was born Sept. 1, 1917 in Hutchinson to Samuel & Delila Beiler Nisly. On Sept. 14, 1939 she married Moses C. Yoder in Hutchinson. He died in 1981.
A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, she was a homemaker and a member of the Amish Church of Hutchinson.
Survivors include a daughter, Delila Yoder and husband Wilbur, Hutchinson; four grandchildren, Keith Yoder and wife Brenda, Nappanee, Ind, Darrell Yoder and wife Angie, Kansas City, KS, Sheldon Yoder and wife Tisha, Hutchinson, Regina Miller and husband Ray, South Hutchinson; 10 great grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin Nisly and wife Fannie, Menno Nisly and wife Edna, John Nisly and wife Sylvia, all of Hutchinson; two sisters, Emma Stutzman and husband Ervin, and Katie Helmuth and husband Eli, Hutchinson; and a sister-in-law, Ellen Nisly, Hutchinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Moses C. Yoder; two sons, James & Paul Yoder; brother, Jonas Nisly; and two sisters, Mary Nisly and Rebecca Bontrager.
Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009, at the Amish Community Building with Daniel Hershberger, Ivan Miller, and Edward Mast officiating. Burial will be in West Center Amish Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Amish Community Building. Memorials may be made to Mennonite Manor in care of Elliott Mortuary.
