Amber Archer, 40, passed away May 28, 2018. She was born December 1, 1977, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Brian and Judy (Volavka) Archer.

She was a 1996 graduate of Buhler High School, where she participated in band, Buhler singers, jazz band, cross country, track and field, and basketball. Amber graduated with a Bachelors and Master's Degree in English from Kansas State University.

Amber loved her job as Instructional Support Specialist at Flight Safety International since 2014. Her favorite pastimes included: raising plants, working in the garden, fishing with her dad, camping, scrapbooking and making jewelry for friends.

She is survived by: her parents of Hutchinson; brother, Chad and wife, Julie; nieces, Brittany and Olivia; cousins, Trae, Shona, Dominique and their families; uncle, Craig Archer and wife Sharon; aunts, Mona Archer and Nancy Volavka; and dear friend, Archie.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Alan Gager presiding. Friends may sign her book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with family present 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
