Obituary

Amos Nisly, 97, Hutchinson, died January 12, 2022 at his home.  He was born June 26, 1924 in Hutchinson, to the late Noah A. Nisly and Rosa (Schrock) Nisly. Amos was a retired pastor and member of Center A.M. Church.

On November 8, 1951, he married the late Anne Yoder from Lagrange, Indiana. They enjoyed almost 70 years of marriage.

Amos is survived by sons, Phil (Lucy), Tim (Shelli), and Larry (Pam) Nisly, all of Hutchinson; daughter, Rosi Nolder, Selinsgrove, PA; son, JR (Renee) Nisly, San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving are two sisters, Rebecca (Albert) Miller and Ella Nisly, both of Hutchinson, KS; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne; parents; stepmother, Mary Nisly; brothers Will (Mattie), Abraham, Moses (Mary) and Joe (Velma); and sisters Lydia (Melvin) Yoder, Anna (Jake) Raber, and Mandy (Walter) Funk.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 15 from  2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Sunday, January 16, 2pm. at Center  A.M. Church, 7611 W Morgan Ave, Hutchinson.

Memorials are suggested to Hands of Christ, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
