Andrew Deane Peterson, 80, died April 13, 2012, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born April 2, 1932, in Wichita, to Andrew J. and Edna Hellman Peterson.

Andrew graduated from Eureka High School and Pittsburg State University and worked as an electrician for Rural Electric Company in Mankato. He was a Marine, had a great love of music, always willing to lend a helping hand, very involved with Mankato's Historical Society, and his craftsmanship showed he was meticulous and an inventor.

On Nov. 10, 1961, he married Gila Robinson in Miami, Okla. She survives. Other survivors include: daughters, Tina Schlotterback and husband Matt of Lyons, and Christy Keeler and husband Jeff of Hays; grandchildren, Samuel Schlotterback, Summer Schlotterback, Katie Green and husband Ron, Jacob Keeler and wife Andrea, and Maggie Keeler; and great-grandchildren, Justin and Addyson Keeler. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Andrew's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
