Angela Marie Tafolla, 53, of South Hutchinson, died July 3, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita. She was born July 8, 1969, in Salina, to Roberta L. Benitez.

Angie graduated from Nickerson high school and attended Hutchinson Community College. She worked as a para at Union Valley grade school and Sherman and Liberty middle schools in Hutchinson for many years. Family was most important and Angie attended all her children's school and sports events. She enjoyed cooking and was known as the "snack lady" to all her kids' friends. Angie especially loved being a grandma. She also loved scary movies, particularly Halloween, and rock & roll music, with Motley Crüe being her favorite band.

Angie is survived by: her mother, Roberta Benitez of South Hutchinson; children, Josh Tafolla (Amber), Alison Evans, Daniel Evans; partner, Tim Evans, all of Hutchinson; grandson, Nash Tafolla; sisters, Michelle Tafolla (Gerald Newsum) of Raytown, MO, Maria Pearce (Tyler) of Overland Park, Herminia Benitez of Hutchinson, Anna Benitez (Adam Prudich) of Rapid City, SD; and many extended family members.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2023, at Elliott Chapel. The casket will remain closed. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and the link below to view it will be live beginning at 9:45 a.m. the day of the service.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary.
