Obituary

Angelina 'Angie' Harms, 78, of Hutchinson, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born September 2, 1940, in Halstead to Juan and Guadalupe (Martinez) Gonzales.

Angie attended Hutchinson High School. She retired from the Reno County Sheriff's Department as a food service supervisor after 14 years. Angie was a member of Kansas Sheriff's Association and Kansas Food Service Association. She attended CrossPoint Church.

In February of 1965, she married Les. W. Harms in Halstead. He died October 4, 2000. Survivors include: son, Fernando J. Harms with wife Wendy of Hutchinson; daughters, Desareé R. Harms and Delena M. Harms, both of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Angelina Harms of Hutchinson, Courtney Hutchinson with husband Dominick of Omaha, NE, Kyler and Konner Harms, both of Hutchinson, and Christopher Stewart of Corpus Christi, TX; brothers, Gilberto Gonzales with wife Rosa of Nickerson, and Fernando Gonzales with wife Vanessa of Hutchinson; sister, Rachel Gonzales of Wichita; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Wesley J. Harms; brothers, Rudolph Gonzales, Robert Gonzales, Robert Joseph Gonzales, Armando Gonzales, and Juan Gonzales; and beloved pet, Chongo.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Elliott Mortuary with Pastor Andy Addis officiating. Friends may sign the book 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cause for Paws, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
