Anita Grace Bennett, 68, died Thursday, June 4, 2015. She was born Jan. 11, 1947, in Stillwell, Okla., the daughter of Clarence Ludwig and Opal Loretta (Caughman) Nolte.
She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, an exceptional seamstress and had many different clerk positions in retail sales.
On Nov. 2, 1963, she married Larry Alfred Bennett in Hutchinson. He survives. Also surviving are: their daughter, Evonne (Richard) Eckrote of Wichita; granddaughter, Elizabeth Eckrote of Wichita; sisters, Mary (Willard) Stafford of Hutchinson, Glenna Hill of Perry, Loretta (Fred) Hofflinger of Hutchinson; brother, Clarence (Susan) Nolte of Hutchinson; aunt, Sue Sark of Tulsa, Okla.; dear friend, Lois Stull; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Benjamin Eckrote; and brother-in-law, Fred Hill.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastors Willard and Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will be in North Inman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary.
