Ann M. Ramos, 84, of Hutchinson, died March 10, 2012, at Hospice House.
Ann was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Hillsboro, Texas, the daughter of Marcial E. and Maria Jacobo Murillo.
Ann graduated from Pratt High School in 1946, and Salt City Business College in 1948. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Legion of Mary, Legal Aid Society, Perpetual Adoration and the M-2 Program, all of the church. Ann retired as a sales associate at Sears Department Store after 25 years.
Ann married Lawrence V. Ramos on June 18, 1949, in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors include: four sons, Stan M. Ramos and wife Peggy, Vincent G. Ramos and wife Patty, all of Hutchinson, Larry A. Ramos and wife Carole, Wichita, and Mark A. Ramos and wife Mary, Topeka; a daughter, Jeananne Musgrave, Hutchinson; a brother, Joe Murillo; two sisters, Virginia Goodman, and Eva M. Ornelas, all of Wichita; and five grandchildren, Heather Ramos, Adam Ramos, Alex Ramos, Nicolas Ramos, and Anthony Ramos, and Terri Ramos, mother of Heather and Adam Ramos. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Lewis Murillo, James Murillo, Feliciano Murillo, and Paul Murillo, a sister, Helen Murillo, and a son-in-law, Richard Musgrave.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Brian Nelson presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. A parish rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and the family will greet friends following the rosary.
