Anna M. Bowman, 80, died Jan. 8, 2014, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 19, 1933, in Innsbruck, Austria, the daughter of Josef and Josefine Katrina (Boes) Ainhirn.
She was of the catholic faith. On April 19, 1951, she married Gee Jay Bowman in Innsbruck, Austria. He died Dec. 23, 2003.
She loved to attend the American Legion with her husband and was an avid bingo player there.
She is survived by a niece, Tina Tracy-Williams and husband Dave; great-nephews, Tyler Tracy and family, and Ryan Tracy and family, all of Buhler; great-niece, Brandy Neighbors and family of Williston, North Dakota; nephew, Glen Wade Hill of Larned; brother-in-law, David Bowman and family of Spring Hill, Kan.; sister-in-law, Virginia Bowman of Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, John J. Bowman; three brothers, Otto, Sigfried and William Ainhirn; sisters, Inge, Senta, and Ritta.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Father Nicholas Voelker presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
