Anna Ernst Deemer, 91, died Sept. 23, 2005, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 29, 1914, in Marienthal, the daughter of Nicholus and Elizabeth Beil Ernst. A resident of Hutchinson, moving from Lyons, she was a former cashier at the Big M Truck Stop and was a nurse aide at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
She belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, and was a former member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Lyons.
On Feb. 14, 1931, she married Andrew Jewel Deemer at Hoisington. He died March 31, 1969.
Survivors include: a son, Alvin Lee, Cunningham; a sister, Helen Hardten, Claflin; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Viola May Cross; a brother, Pete Ernst; and several brothers, sisters and grandchildren.
Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, with Father Stuart M. Smeltzer presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery,Hutchinson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may sent to St. Teresa's Catholic Church or to Hospice of Reno County, both in care of the funeral home.
