Obituary

Anna Margaret "Nan" Yunck, 99, died July 26, 2008, at Golden Plains Health Care Center in Hutchinson.

She was born November 14, 1908, in Dunlap, Iowa, the daughter of Milton and Elizabeth (O'Connell) Jenkins.

After graduating from high school and college in Sioux City, Iowa. Nan enjoyed working for the Sisters of Mercy at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City as a Laboratory Technician until she met and married her husband Henry Yunck on April 28, 1941.

After 65 years of joyful and loving marriage Henry passed away on April 2, 2006 in Hutchinson. Nan was a longtime member of the Church of the Holy Cross, an active member in the Holy Cross Altar Society and a longtime member of the Harvest House.

Nan is survived by nephews Mike Fleming of Branson, MO and Dave Fleming of Omaha, NE; nieces, Mary Pat Poskochil of Lincoln, NE, Ann Fleming of Omaha, NE and Margaret Fleming of Columbus, NE.

Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30th, at Church of the Holy Cross. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
