Obituary

SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Annabell Lola Conrad, 88, died Sept. 11, 2008, at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson.

She was born June 2, 1920, near Partridge in Reno County, the daughter of Henry and Milly Olga Massoni Koestel. She graduated from Partridge High School in 1940. A lifetime Reno County resident, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to Partridge Community Church, and was a former member of the Darlow Club, E.H.U. in the Darlow Community and the Eight Couples Club.

On July 26, 1942, she married Warren C. Conrad at her parents' home, Partridge. He died Dec. 29, 2002.

Survivors include: two sons, James L. and wife Chanta "Tim," Hutchinson, and Virgil L., Chandler, Ariz.; a daughter, Bonnie R. Parks and husband Bob, Tijeras, N.M.; a brother, Robert Koestel, South Hutchinson; four sisters, Dorothy Covert and Evelyn Myers, both of Hutchinson, and Ethel Krug and Viola Bontrager, both of South Hutchinson; six grandchildren, Linda Dunn and husband Todd, Haven, Nori Bottelman and husband Dennis, Hutchinson, Jeff Parks and wife Caryl, Albuquerque, N.M., Trent Parks and wife Renae, Gypsum, Colo., Wendy Davis and husband Kent, Topeka, and Lori Ellsworth and husband Itsie, Perryville, Mo.; and 11 great-grandchildren, Derek and Jordan Dunn, Olivia and Evan Bottelman, Micah Parks, Tjaden and Steffan Walters, Lauren Mulanax, and Lacie, Kaitlyn and Isaac Ellsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Clifford Koestel, Albert Koestel and an infant brother, Walter Koestel; and two sisters, Mabel Ball and Irene Hirst.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Rev. R. Samuel Askew presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
