Annie May Metzler, 85, died October 3, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society, Hutchinson Village. She was born August 6, 1939, in Hutchinson, to William and Marjorie (Goodwin) Wallace.

After graduating high school, Annie enjoyed her work as a caregiver to an elderly couple for many years. She was a green-thumb and had a passion for gardening. She enjoyed reading and took pleasure in crocheting blankets among other things. Annie was a loving mother and grandmother to her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Annie is survived by: her daughter, Cindy (Danny Ehrlich) Metzler of Hutchinson; son, Andy (Lori) Metzler of Eureka; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Gene (Sue), Jerry, and Charles (Jan) Bibbs.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter, Penny Warner; and sisters, Barbara Spencer and Kathy Weeks.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Dan Price presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2024, with family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
