Annie M. Turner, 67, died Aug. 3, 2006, at her home, Hutchinson.
She was born May 22, 1939, in Pritchett, Colo., the daughter of Glen Jackson Potter and Ellen M. Smith Green. She graduated from Sylvia High School, Sylvia, in 1957. A longtime area resident, she was an 18-year clerk for Reno County Courthouse treasury department, retiring in 1996. She formerly spent four years in food service at Hutchinson High School.
She belonged to Medora Community Bible Church, Medora.
On Dec. 21, 1958, she married Kenneth William Turner in Sylvia. He survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Terry and wife, Janet, South Hutchinson, and Rick, Wichita; a daughter, Annette Souza and husband, Steven, Colwich; a brother, Allen Cole, Springfield, Colo.; a sister, Glee Elena, Cortez, Colo.; and seven grandchildren, Brandon Colvard, Ashley Schmidt and husband, Jake, all of Wichita, Tony Turner and wife, Brea, Overland Park, Cameron VanDegrift, Trevor and Colby Turner, all of South Hutchinson, and Traca Colvard, Colwich.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Cole; and two sisters, Gayle Cody and Lucille Holt.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Medora Community Bible Church, Medora, with Pastor Wayne Johnson and Pastor Dan Ells presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
