Anthony C. "Tony" Reed, 83, of Wichita, died August 9, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center, from COVID-19. He was born January 25, 1938, in Hutchinson, to Harry H. and Alberta M. (Brada) Reed.

Tony graduated from Hutchinson High School and the University of Kansas. He worked as a photographer at the Wichita Eagle for 38 years, until his retirement. Tony suffered from macular degeneration, and although his sight was very limited, he still had a passion for photography and took photos of his cat, plants, and created other still life photos in his home.  When other photographer friends visited him at home, he encouraged them to try new ideas for their photographs.

Tony didn't linger long in the hospital, being admitted on a Monday and passing the following Monday. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday, August 30, 2021, at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5805 W. 4 ^th Ave., Hutchinson. It will be appreciated if those attending wear masks and social distance.
