April L. Searfoss, 70, of Hutchinson, died August 24, 2024, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born April 5, 1954, in Orange, California, to Richard and Vivian (Etheridge) Searfoss.

April graduated in 1972 from Bolsa Grande High School, then spent four years in the United States Air Force. She worked as a legal secretary for the Reno County District Attorney's office, where she loved to "put the bad guys away." April had a fondness for Disney movies and wanted to visit Tokyo Disney.  Like a true Disney fanatic, she was a friend to all animals and cared for dogs, cats, and birds. When April was not helping to catch bad guys, she spent her time water coloring and diamond painting.

She is survived by: her daughter, Vivian Searfoss of Goddard; brothers, Richard Searfoss of Goddard, and Jon Searfoss of Hutchinson.

April was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Kansas Humane Society in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
