Archlee "Lee" Austin Wilson-Colby, 88, died Nov. 29, 2007, at Golden Plains Health Care Center.
She was born Sept. 15, 1919, in Covert, the daughter of Ray Lorraine and Bernice Mae Bolthinghouse Austin. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1937, and attended Hutchinson Community College. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she had been a journalist for the Hutchinson News, and formerly the Idaho Daily Statesman, Boise, Idaho.
She attended Trinity United Methodist Church.
On July 18, 1941, she married Hugh "Pat" Wilson in Hutchinson. He died March 5, 1950. On Jan. 1, 1952, she married Arthur Harold Colby in Pascagoula, Miss. He died Aug. 22, 1998.
Survivors include: three daughters, Irene Veschi, Orangevale, Calif., Ann Colby Kearns, Nashville, Tenn., and Linda Colby Popp, Hutchinson; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Mae Kosco, a brother, Donald Austin and a sister, Frances Brandt.
Cremation has taken place. There are no services scheduled at this time.
