Aubrey Linus Schartz, 82, died Sept. 14, 2014, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born Aug. 20, 1932, in rural Ellinwood, to Edward and Frances Schartz. He retired from Marmie Motors in Great Bend and moved to Hutchinson.

On Oct. 16, 1951, he married Bonnie Lou Harbaugh in Ellinwood. Survivors include: his wife, Bonnie Lou Schartz of the home; children, Dennis Schartz (Berniece) of Enid, Okla., PoEllen Anderson (Larry) of Great Bend, Conan Schartz, Glen Schartz (Debbie), JoAnna Schartz, Zeta Boese (Stan), all of Hutchinson; siblings, Gilbert Schartz (Loreene), Rita Bixby, Leonora Tipton; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. No services are planned. Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson, is in charge of the arrangements.
