Audie Howard, 82, of Hutchinson, died February 16, 2018, at Diversicare of Hutchinson. He was born September 26, 1935, in Noble, MO, to Thomas and Ethel (Coonce) Howard.
He was a retired supervisor for the former Betts Baking Company. Audie was an avid fur trapper and former president of the Kansas Fur Harvesters Association.
Audie married Carol Joan Rank on September 26, 1953, in Hutchinson. She died May 5, 2009. Survivors include: son, Tim Howard, Hutchinson; daughter, Tonya Howard, Louisburg, KS; grandson, Todd Howard (Sarah), Overland Park, KS; granddaughters, Tiffany Seibel (Matt), Winter Garden, FL, Bailee Howard, Boston, MA; brother, Arlie Howard (Ellen), Wichita; sisters, Mae Cotter, Springfield, MO, Maxine Brown (Max), Joplin, MO, and Shelly Moser (Dallas), Wellton, AZ; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Carol; his parents; seven brothers and six sisters.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Luke Helmuth officiating.
