Aurelia I. Kittle, 95, died Feb. 27, 2010, at Thorne Care Center at Wesley Towers. She was born Oct. 23, 1914, at Partridge, Kan., to Vernon Christian and Shirley Vaughn Downs Hipp. She was a lifetime Reno County resident.
She graduated from Partridge High School and attended Emporia State University. She was a homemaker, a farm wife, taught school in rural Reno County, taught 4-H classes and knitting classes at Sears. She belonged to Salem Community Church of the Brethren and Extension Home Unit (EHU).
On Aug. 4, 1940, she married Archie P. Kittle in Hutchinson. He survives.
Other survivors: daughter Janice and Dennis Reffner of Hutchinson; grandchildren Debra and Dr. James Moffitt of Dodge City, Rob and Melanie Green of Hutchinson, Annette and Wade Radina of Manhattan; stepgrandchildren Kevin and Stephanie Reffner of Wichita, Brian and Kathy Reffner of Hutchinson, Denny Reffner of Ft. Collins, Colo.; 10 great-grandchildren Tyrel, Mishayla, Eleanor and Katherine Moffitt, Sage Jones, Owen, Tess and Haden Green, Gabriella and Amelia Radina; six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Eldin and Estelle Hipp.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, with Revs. Richard Brooks and Jeanine Rishel officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call Monday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon.
Memorials may be made to Wesley Towers Good Samaritan Fund or the Salem Community Church of the Brethren in care of the mortuary.
