Autymn Jean Givens-Scott, age 12, died Jan. 18, 2014, in Hutchinson. Autymn was born in Hutchinson on March 11, 2001, the daughter of Nicholas Givens and Lacey Scott.

Battling cerebral palsy since she was an infant, Autymn was a 7th grader this year at South Hutchinson Elementary School.

Survivors include: her father, Nicholas of South Hutchinson; her mother, Lacey Scott of Hutchinson; brother, Brendan Givens of Sterling; sisters, Lillian Holeman and Brindlee Scott of Hutchinson; grandparents, Rodney Givens of South Hutchinson, Larry and Shelley Scott of Nickerson; great-grandparents, Don Scott and Dixie Scott, both of Tannehill, Okla., Delores Carey of Hutchinson; uncles, Michael Givens of Haven, David Givens and wife Jennifer of Coffeyville, and Levi Scott of Hutchinson.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cindy Givens; great-grandmothers, Velma Roper and Donna Scott; and a great great-grandmother, Lillian Slover.

Funeral services for Autymn will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Troy Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Cemetery, Haven, Kan. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Elliott Chapel and the family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
