Ava B. Schlegel's Obituary
Ava Bonnie Schlegel, 80, died April 15, 2007, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.
She was born April 17, 1926, in Michigan Valley, the daughter of Omar and Leora Larrimore Williams. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, she was a retired telephone operator.
She belonged to Telephone Pioneers of America.
On Feb. 26, 1954, she married Sylvester F. "Si" Schlegel. He died April 19, 1998.
Survivors include: a son, Roger, El Dorado; a stepson, Michael, Irvine, Calif.; two daughters, Patricia Dodson, Benton and Donna Pritchard, Palestine, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Kim Biery presiding. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Memorials may be sent to Telephone Pioneers of America, in care of the funeral home.
