Avandre Alexander Jones, 21, formerly of Hutchinson, died all too soon on May 1, 2022, at his home in Wichita.  He was born July 19, 2000, in Hutchinson, to Eric Lamonte and Heather Anne (Ochs) Jones.

Avandre graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2018.  For almost three years, he worked as a machinist for Mid-Kansas Machine, Inc., in McPherson.  In his spare time, Avandre enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing, taking spontaneous trips, gaming, and his cats.  He was blessed with a loving close-knit family.  In April, Avandre, and his two siblings spent 32 hours together driving to and from Florida for some special sibling time.  During this mini-vacation, memories were made that will last a lifetime for his sister and brother.   Avandre adored his one-year-old nephew, Luka Alexander, and was a proud and doting uncle.

Avandre is survived by:  parents, Eric and Heather Jones; sister, Bria Jones; brother, TreˊVaughn Jones (Cami Brown); nephew, Luka Alexander Jones; maternal grandparents, Stanley R. Ochs (Annie); paternal grandmother, Paula Hawkins; paternal grandfather, Major Jones; uncles, Stanley J. Ochs and Nick Jones; aunts, Danielle Jones and Brittany Jones; and his beloved cats, Porchie and Iggy.

Cremation has taken place.  Celebration of Life service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Elliott Chapel.  Friends may sign his book from 9-5 Monday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary.  The family will greet friends following the service.
