Avril Mae Jewett, 96, died April 24, 2024, at Pleasant Hills, Hutchinson. She was born August 6, 1927, in El Dorado, to Ralph and Barbara Belle (Worrell) Seymour.

Avril graduated from El Dorado High School.  She was a loving wife and mother.  Avril supported her children in their activities and events, and chauffeured them wherever they needed to go.  In addition, she enjoyed cross-stitching, sewing, ceramics, and playing card games.

On December 17, 1950, she married Dale Jewett, in El Dorado.  He died November 25, 2022, after they shared almost 72 years of marriage.

Avril is survived by:  sons, Randy Jewett of Hutchinson and Kirk Jewett (Carlene) of Longview, TX; daughters, Barb Hansen (Todd) of Bixby, OK, Brenda West (Mike) of Hutchinson, and Patty Mellinger (John) of Newton; 10 grandchildren, Adriane, Scott, Kristin, Kyle, Kendra, Ashley, Kelly, Ryan, Lauren, and Courtney; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by:  her parents; husband, Dale; brother, Durward Seymour; sisters, Barbara Gardner and Mavis Guthrie; and a great-granddaughter.

A private family graveside service is planned at Buhler Municipal East Cemetery, Buhler.
