B. Ruth Johns' Obituary
B. Ruth Johns, 100, died Monday, May 18, 2015, at her nephew's home in Castleton. She was born May 12, 1915, at Hazelton, the daughter of William and Florence (Braughton) George.
She was a nurse aide at St. Elizabeth, Grace and Hutchinson Hospitals and had been a member of Roving Rebels Camping Club.
On July 7, 1934, she married Walter H. Johns at Taloga, Okla. He died Nov. 13, 2005. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Ruth is also preceded death by her parents and two brothers, Forrest and Bob George.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Andover Lutheran Church Cemetery, Windom, with Pastor Elizabeth Liggett presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County, Hospice House or Andover Lutheran Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
